Mary Carr

Mary Carr is a compassionate registered mental health counselor intern who understands the challenges individuals face when seeking support for their emotional struggles. She works alongside her clients with empathy as they learn to manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. With her up-to-date training, Mary helps identify self-defeating patterns that may have once served her clients well but now create challenges in their present lives and limit their future possibilities. Her approach is tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual she works with, whether they are adults, adolescents, or couples. Mary's areas of expertise include trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and spirituality. She is trained in EMDR and utilizes a combination of EFT, Mindfulness, and IFS techniques. With a belief in the importance of relational safety as the foundation for change, Mary approaches her practice with genuine kindness and curiosity. She is dedicated to understanding each client's unique experiences in a non-judgmental manner. Acknowledging that overwhelming times can often lead individuals to withdraw, she recognizes the courage it takes to reach out and strive for change—an endeavor she feels honored to support.
