Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in The Villages, FL, is dedicated to empowering low-income families to access healthy food options and improve their nutritional wellbeing. Often referred to as food stamps, SNAP provides critical food assistance benefits to households that rely on each other for meals. Eligible families can utilize these benefits to purchase a variety of nutritious foods, including bread, cereals, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, poultry, dairy products, and even seeds for home gardening. We invite households in need to apply for assistance easily online through the Florida Department of Children and Families Automated Community Connection to Economic Self Sufficiency (ACCESS) or at designated community partner locations. For those who prefer traditional methods, a paper application can be completed and mailed, faxed, or submitted in person at local Customer Service Centers.
