Bernadette Alers

Bernadette Alers is a dedicated and compassionate clinical social worker and therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked with individuals and families across diverse settings, including community organizations, hospitals, residential facilities, outpatient clinics, in-home therapy, and schools. Bernadette's expertise spans a wide range of clinical issues, including anxiety and stress management, depression, anger and aggression, intellectual and developmental disabilities, mild autism, trauma, abuse, family of origin issues, relationship challenges, and LGBTQ-related concerns. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida, Bernadette originally hails from New York City, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hunter College and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Residing in Florida since 1999, she embraces a client-centered, holistic, and culturally sensitive counseling style. Bernadette firmly believes in the importance of having someone to share both troubles and triumphs with, and she recognizes the courage it takes for individuals to seek support. She celebrates the first steps of her clients toward self-discovery and inner healing and wishes them well on their journeys.
