Get Into Fitness Today (GIFT)

Get Into Fitness Today (GIFT) is a transformative, free program based in Seminole, FL, designed to empower individuals to take control of their health and well-being through effective obesity prevention strategies. Funded by BayCare and the Florida Department of Health, GIFT is crafted by a dedicated team of Registered Dieticians, Nurses, and Health Educators who provide essential, science-based insights aimed at reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants engage in weekly sessions focused on enhancing nutrition education, understanding food portioning, and mastering label reading, followed by strategies for sustaining a healthier lifestyle and preventing health issues. Though primarily educational, the program incorporates light exercise towards the end, ensuring a well-rounded approach to health improvement.
