Spencer Thorpe

Spencer Thorpe is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Behavior Technician dedicated to improving the quality of life for his clients and their families. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa and his Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida. With a mastery of assessment through behavioral observation and systems theory, Spencer employs a diverse range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems interventions, ensuring evidence-based techniques enhance the effectiveness of his therapeutic work. His clinical experience spans providing psychotherapy to individuals of all ages at Tampa General Hospital and the Children’s Home, with a particular focus on children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, trauma histories, and those in the foster care system. Spencer's personal understanding of ADHD informs his work, as he knows firsthand how such challenges can affect various life domains including school, work, family, and social interactions. He believes that every struggle carries valuable life lessons and is committed to helping others transform their challenges into strengths.
