Alexis Zubrod

Dr. Alexis Zubrod, a psychologist with over 25 years of experience, has dedicated her career to supporting individuals across various stages of life, including teens, adults, and elders. Having spent the first part of her journey in Pennsylvania and the last 20 years enriching lives in Florida, she specializes in helping clients navigate issues such as coping skills, trauma, PTSD, and sports performance. Dr. Zubrod fosters a deep understanding of clients' dynamic experiences to empower them to address their strengths and challenges, enhancing their relationships with others. She earned her PhD in psychology at P.S.U., complemented by an internship at a psychiatric hospital. Her background as an educator and consultant at USF, coupled with eight years as an Allied Medical Staff member at local hospitals and work with Veterans, has instilled in her a unique compassion for those rebuilding their lives from anxiety, depression, disenfranchisement, or trauma. Furthermore, Dr. Zubrod integrates her knowledge in Sport Sciences and her experiences in athletics and coaching to inform her practice. Adopting a client-centered approach, she listens attentively to each individual's unique experiences before employing a theoretically-driven, multimodal strategy tailored to their needs and goals. With a strong emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapy, Dr. Zubrod is committed to guiding clients toward achieving the best possible outcomes in their lives.
