Teen Transition Program

The Teen Transition Program in Saint Petersburg, FL, is dedicated to empowering students with visual impairments by equipping them with essential skills for a successful future. Funded in part by the Florida Division of Blind Services, our comprehensive program offers a wide range of services, including self-determination, assistive technology training, and vocational education skills tailored to meet individual needs. Participants learn vital independent living skills, orientation and mobility techniques, and visual efficiency strategies to navigate their environments effectively. Our goal is to facilitate a smooth transition into post-secondary education, employment, and independent living, ensuring that each student is prepared for the opportunities ahead. With year-round programming and a Transition Summer Camp, we strive to create a supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive and build the confidence necessary for their next steps in life.
