Miriam Vermiller

Miriam Vermiller is a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor whose primary focus is on grief and loss counseling. Her personal experience with loss enhances her understanding and compassion for those navigating their own grief. Recognizing that many individuals struggle to articulate their feelings—often due to upbringing or societal norms—Miriam provides a safe space for those who have been silent about their pain. She helps those grappling with depression, irritability, or a pervasive sense of sadness rediscover joy in life. With a unique background as a licensed nurse, Miriam offers a comprehensive perspective that bridges medical and psychological care. She specializes in senior issues, caregiver challenges, end-of-life concerns, substance abuse, and everyday life challenges. Additionally, her decade-long teaching experience at Eastern Florida State College positions her well to address the complexities of both senior and student issues.
