Leann Dehoff

Leann DeHoff, PhD, LMHC, is a dedicated counselor who operates through The Lux Center of Counseling and Education. The center's mission is to honor each individual's inner experience and facilitate healing through compassionate counseling practices. With experience working with children, couples, and families, Leann employs client-centered and evidence-based methods to help clients identify and regulate emotions, transform behavioral and emotional patterns, and develop healthier relationships. She is committed to empowering individuals of all ages to connect with their authentic selves, enabling them to discover motivation, find relief, and practice ongoing self-care. As a licensed therapist in Florida and a Registered Play Therapist, Leann holds a PhD in international psychology, focusing on cultures and human rights. Her integrative therapeutic approach includes techniques such as attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), child-parent relationship therapy, EMDR, emotionally focused therapy, play therapy, and solution-focused methods. Leann believes therapy is a profound experience that requires time for uncovering, discovering, and healing. As a lifelong learner in psychology, she, along with her team at The Lux Center of Counseling and Education, is devoted to illuminating clients' inner experiences and guiding their healing journeys through effective, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
