Heidi Donovan

Dr. Heidi Donovan is a respected psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and Human Systems from Florida State University, which she earned in 2001. She specializes in neuropsychology and has a profound research focus on neuropsychological assessment for patients with traumatic brain injuries. After completing her residency at the VA Medical Center in Washington D.C. and her post-doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Carolina Psychological Health Services, Dr. Donovan gained valuable experience in private practice. In 2004, she took on the role of Senior Psychologist for the Florida Department of Corrections, where she provided critical mental health services to over 1,200 inmates in a close-management correctional setting. Additionally, she has served as an on-call Psychological Consultant for Santa Rosa Hospital. In 2007, she relocated to Virginia, reigniting her passion for helping individuals, couples, and families in a private practice environment, where she positively impacted the lives of hundreds of families in Central and Northern Virginia. Following her husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps, Dr. Donovan and her family moved to Orlando, where she re-established her practice in Oviedo. She now proudly offers support to families throughout Central Florida, addressing a range of concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, stress and anger management, adjustment issues, and relationship challenges.
