Karen Maldonado

Karen Maldonado is an experienced counselor with credentials as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and Board Certified in TeleMental Health (BC-TMH). She directed a counseling center in North Carolina, where she led a team of 12 counselors, before relocating to Florida to be closer to family. This transition allowed her to continue supporting her North Carolina clients through HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing software. With licensure to practice in both North Carolina and Florida, Karen specializes in addressing mood disorders, relationship issues, and spirituality through an eclectic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Christian Counseling. Her therapy modalities encompass both individual sessions and family-focused interventions. Karen is passionate about helping clients navigate difficult times in their lives, providing empathic counseling to those facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, and communication difficulties in relationships. Through her telehealth services, she facilitates a supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, identify underlying issues, and develop new coping strategies and relationship techniques.
