Maidember Guemez is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who understands that seeking therapy requires immense strength and courage. He recognizes that stigmatization surrounding mental health challenges and limited access to health insurance can pose significant barriers for many seeking counseling services. In his practice, Maidember strives to minimize these obstacles by providing a safe, honest, and culturally-sensitive environment where clients can explore new paths towards a more fulfilling life. With a decade of experience working specifically with adolescents, particularly those who identify as LGBTQ+, he is dedicated to offering compassionate support to children, teens, adults, families, and couples alike. Maidember employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Systemic Therapy, in his approach to counseling. As a Qualified Supervisor for MH and MF Interns, he remains committed to fostering growth and understanding. While life can indeed present challenges, Maidember believes that the lens through which individuals view their circumstances can significantly influence their perceptions. His passion for therapy is strong, and he is devoted to helping clients discover that same belief in their journey towards healing.
