Lena Sheffield

Lena Sheffield is a compassionate counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, holding credentials as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). She specializes in working with preteens, teens, and adults facing challenges such as dual diagnosis, trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. Lena utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Trauma-Focused therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Her therapeutic practice is deeply rooted in creating an emotionally safe environment where individuals can explore life and relationship patterns affecting them today. Lena encourages clients to enhance their coping strategies, resiliency, and mindfulness skills, aiming to reduce the negative impacts of self-numbing behaviors. In addition to her clinical practice, she offers clinical workshops and serves as an Online Instructor for the Sober College School of Addictions Studies.
