At the Veggie Van, we are dedicated to enhancing access to fresh, nutritious food for individuals and families in underserved areas of Land O Lakes, FL, and the surrounding Hillsborough and East Pasco counties. As a mobile marketplace, we provide vital food assistance through our affordable program, allowing participants to select their own produce for just $4 a month. Each month, community members can fill two bags with fresh fruits and vegetables, promoting healthier eating habits and empowering families to make positive choices. Currently serving areas including Wimauma Village, Tampa Heights, Sulphur Springs, Plant City, Dover, and Lacoochee, the Veggie Van remains operational during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering free produce bags to ensure everyone has access to essential nourishment.
