Alyssa Finkelstein is a Pre-Licensed Professional with many years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through their healing journeys. With a focus on trauma and PTSD, chronic illness, and traumatic brain injury (TBI), Alyssa understands how unresolved trauma can impact mental health, leading to anxiety, depression, and unhealthy relationships. With over 20 years embedded in veteran and first responder communities, she specializes in addressing the unique challenges faced by these populations, particularly in the realm of rehabilitative medicine. Alyssa has also dedicated 15 years to education, cultivating a passion for guiding adolescents and young adults as they transition towards adulthood. She employs a diverse range of therapy types, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Culturally Sensitive approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Gottman Method, ensuring that her clients receive personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. Additionally, Alyssa integrates neuroscience-informed methods such as mindfulness exercises and EMDR, believing in the transformative power of animal-assisted therapy to provide comfort and support.
