Michelle Hintz

Dr. Michelle Hintz is a licensed psychologist and board-certified music therapist dedicated to working primarily with children and their families. With extensive training in behavior modification, family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and developmental psychology, Dr. Hintz has a wealth of experience, including work at Miami Children's Hospital's Department of Psychiatry. She conducts thorough evaluations for learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, autism, mood disorders, and personality disorders, and has served as an expert witness in various cases. Furthermore, Dr. Hintz regularly engages in school visits, attends IEP meetings, and collaborates with other professionals. Her compassion also extends to young adults facing relationship and work challenges. Specializing in children with complex clinical profiles, multiple diagnoses, and challenging situations, she boasts experience in inpatient child/adolescent hospitalization and works effectively with children exhibiting autism, limited verbal skills, and aggressive or oppositional behaviors. With expertise in ADOS, floortime, and sensory integration strategies, Dr. Hintz leads The Cadenza Center for Psychotherapy & the Arts, Inc., a Miami/Ft. Lauderdale-based agency that addresses a diverse array of developmental, emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral needs through active treatment interventions, including creative arts services and traditional outpatient psychotherapy.
