Dempsey Rupe

Dempsey Rupe, LCSW, is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University. Currently pursuing her certification as a Registered Play Therapist, Dempsey employs innovative play therapy techniques specifically designed to assist children, teens, and families. Her expertise in EMDR therapy, coupled with play therapy methods, enables her to effectively facilitate healing in children who have previously been resistant to therapy. Dempsey specializes in Theraplay, a therapeutic approach aimed at rebuilding attachment within families facing attachment injuries. Her professional experience spans a diverse range of social work, including family case management in early childhood court, grief counseling in hospice settings, and support for homeless and at-risk youth and their families. With a strong foundation in addressing family conflict, depression, anxiety, communication challenges, trauma, and various parenting issues, Dempsey is deeply committed to providing a safe space for those seeking assistance.
