Dr. Rachel Salk is a compassionate, licensed psychologist dedicated to providing individual therapy for adolescents and adults. With a strong focus on a client-centered and cognitive-behavioral approach, she effectively integrates elements from mindfulness-based stress reduction, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Specializing in supporting women and girls during significant life transitions—such as adolescence, college, and the perinatal period—Dr. Salk employs evidence-based practices in her collaborative, integrative method. Her expertise encompasses mood disorders, eating disorders, behavioral sleep medicine, perinatal mental health, and the unique challenges faced by gender and sexual minority youth. Dr. Salk earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and completed her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, further enriching her practice through a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
