Carmen McGuinness, EdD, BCBA-D, is a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst who specializes in Attachment Focused Behavior Analytic treatment integrated with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. With a focus on fostering meaningful connections, she serves a diverse clientele that includes children, their parents, couples, and adults. Carmen’s expertise encompasses a broad range of challenges, including relationship difficulties, infidelity, betrayal trauma, panic disorders, generalized anxiety, non-clinical depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, separation anxiety, and reactive attachment disorders. Additionally, she works with children and adolescents with attention, learning, and developmental disabilities. Holding multiple Master’s degrees in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine and Nutrition Education, along with a Doctorate in Special Education/Behavior Analysis, Carmen combines her extensive knowledge with practical experience. As a licensed HeartMath provider, she has undergone comprehensive post-doctoral training in Attachment Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, including participation in the 2013 ACT Boot Camp led by Steve Hayes and subsequent advanced training in Attachment-Focused Therapy. Carmen embraces a holistic approach, ensuring each client feels heard and supported on their therapeutic journey.
