Connecticut WIC in Winsted is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of low-income pregnant and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to five years old, through our comprehensive Supplemental Food Program. We provide essential nutrition education, support for breastfeeding, and helpful referrals to health and social service programs. Our clients receive an Electronic Benefits Card to purchase nutritious foods, ensuring that families have access to what they need for healthy development. While we are currently offering phone appointments due to COVID-19, we encourage both current and prospective participants to reach out for information on required documents or to apply for benefits at their local WIC office.
