Meals on Wheels, part of Community Renewal Team, is dedicated to nourishing the most vulnerable members of our community in Storrs Mansfield, CT, by providing home-delivered healthy lunches to medically homebound seniors across Middlesex, Tolland, and Hartford counties. Our program not only delivers nutritious meals tailored to meet special dietary needs but also ensures our seniors receive caring check-ins from our dedicated volunteers. We believe that every senior deserves access to good food, which is why we suggest a nominal donation of $3.00 per meal to help support our services, yet no one will be turned away due to inability to pay. Referrals for our food assistance can be made by healthcare professionals and social service departments, and our efficient process ensures that once an application is approved, meal deliveries will commence within two days. We are here to make a difference, one meal at a time.
