Barbara Plavnicky is an LPC who holds a Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of St. Joseph. With extensive clinical experience in a Connecticut hospital, Barbara has worked tirelessly with individuals, families, couples, students, and various agencies. Her career focuses primarily on adolescents and young adults, addressing a wide array of psychiatric disorders, including dual diagnosis and mood disorders. Recently, she has dedicated her efforts to supporting clients struggling with eating disorders in both Fairfield and New Hampshire. Emphasizing a solution-focused and person-centered approach, Barbara utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques, aiming to equip her clients with vital coping skills for managing anxiety, stress, and relationship issues.
