Young Adult Services (YAS) in Old Lyme, CT, is dedicated to supporting young men and women aged 18 to 25 who have faced trauma and battle severe mental health challenges. Our program provides a nurturing residential environment where members can thrive for 18 to 24 months, receiving personalized care that is tailored to their individual needs. In partnership with the Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), we offer a comprehensive range of services, including 24/7 clinical and residential support, life skills development, and goal-oriented planning in areas such as budgeting, cooking, and health. Our focus is on delivering care in the least restrictive manner possible, ensuring that each young adult feels safe and empowered while developing vital skills for independence. We encourage community engagement through recreational activities, peer mentoring, and volunteer opportunities, while also assisting with transportation to wellness appointments. Together, we are committed to fostering resilience and helping young adults build brighter futures.
