Young Adult Services (YAS) in New London, CT, is dedicated to empowering young adults aged 18-25 who have experienced trauma and face significant mental health challenges. Through our residential program, we provide essential, tailored support focused on developing vital life skills over a 18 to 24-month period. Partnering closely with the Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), we ensure that our members receive comprehensive clinical and residential care. Our approach is centered on individual needs, offering 24/7 support, personalized goal plans, and hands-on skill-building in areas such as hygiene, budgeting, cooking, and wellness. YAS fosters a collaborative environment with families and includes transportation to essential health appointments, diverse recreational activities, peer mentoring, and community volunteer opportunities, all aimed at nurturing independence and resilience in young adults during their transformative years.
