Dr. Digby Robert Barrios is a psychologist, licensed marriage and family therapist, and licensed alcohol and drug counselor dedicated to helping individuals find moments of peace and self-forgiveness. He believes that everyone deserves to know their unique place in the world, and that therapy, counseling, and coaching can empower them to recognize their inherent strength, achieve inner peace, and foster a sense of belonging. With a focus on children and adolescents facing behavioral disorders, adults struggling with substance abuse, and families recovering from trauma, Dr. Barrios brings a wealth of experience to his practice. He has been actively involved in the mental health field since 1992, earning his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University that same year. He obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford in 2004, all while being a passionate advocate for those he serves. Dr. Barrios has over two decades of professional experience and a deep commitment to helping others heal. He is also a devoted family man, married for 21 years and raising three children in Danbury, CT. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he embraces the rich culture of Cajun food, music, and hospitality in his personal life.
