Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program at USAF Academy, CO, is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of pregnant and breastfeeding women and their children under the age of 5 through comprehensive nutrition assistance. Offering free nutritious groceries, individualized nutrition consultations, and extensive breastfeeding support, WIC strives to ensure families have access to the resources they need. Additionally, WIC provides valuable referrals for medical care, health insurance, and other essential services to support the entire family. Participants will benefit from nutrition education on meal planning, maintaining healthy weights, and managing picky eaters, among other vital topics. To qualify for WIC services, applicants must reside in Colorado, meet income guidelines, and be pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a child under 5. Families currently receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamps, or Medicaid automatically qualify for WIC, as do foster children under age 5.
