WIC (Women, Infants & Children)

Located in the heart of USAF Academy, Colorado, El Paso County Public Health's WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program is committed to ensuring that eligible women and young children receive essential food assistance and nutrition education. Through our services, we provide vouchers for nutritious foods such as milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, and dried beans or peanut butter, empowering families to make healthy choices. Our educational sessions cover vital topics including breastfeeding, childhood obesity, child development, and proper nutrition for infants. To support moms on their breastfeeding journey, we offer free lactation services, including access to certified breastfeeding peer counselors, support groups, hospital-grade breast pumps, expert consultations, and monthly classes in both English and Spanish. At El Paso County Public Health WIC, we believe that every child deserves a healthy start, and we are here to assist families in achieving that goal.
