The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Peyton, CO, is dedicated to supporting seniors by providing essential emergency food supplies that help stretch their food budgets. Our mission is to ensure that seniors have access to a variety of nutritious items, including nonfat dry milk, rice, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, and more, available on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies last. In collaboration with Care & Share, we also guide eligible seniors through the process of applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, simplifying access to vital resources. Additionally, we offer assistance in understanding government benefits and navigating the support system, ensuring seniors receive the help they need with compassion and efficiency.
