The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Manitou Springs, CO, is dedicated to supporting seniors by providing essential emergency food supplies aimed at enhancing their nutrition and stretching their food budgets. Our program offers a range of nutritious items, including nonfat dry milk, rice, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, and dried fruits, all available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. We partner with Care & Share to assist seniors over 60 in applying for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), making it easier to access vital resources without the need to visit the Department of Human Services. Additionally, we provide guidance to help individuals understand and navigate government benefits, supporting them through every step of the process. Seniors in need of food assistance are welcome to reach out for support and to schedule an appointment.
