San Juan Basin Public Health proudly operates the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in Ignacio, CO, dedicated to providing essential nutritional support for pregnant women, infants, and young children. Our program ensures families have access to vital resources through convenient eWIC debit cards, comprehensive nutrition assessments, and individualized nutrition education. We also offer breastfeeding support and referrals when needed. For ongoing support, walk-in appointments are available at our Durango office on Fridays, while new clients and those adding babies to their WIC benefits are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance. We believe in making healthy food accessible, and individuals receiving Health First Colorado (Medicaid) automatically qualify for WIC; even those who exceed the income limits for Health First Colorado may still receive WIC benefits alongside Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) assistance. Your family's health and nutrition are our top priority.
