Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients

Based in Ignacio, CO, the Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients, a key initiative of the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation, is dedicated to providing vital financial assistance to individuals and families facing the burdens of cancer treatment. Our program supports both adult and pediatric patients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or who have recently completed it, ensuring that their basic daily needs are met amidst the overwhelming medical costs. Each month, our Grants Committee reviews applications, with a focus on those most in need based on their financial, medical, and personal circumstances. Patients with an annual income at or below the poverty level, often struggling with inadequate insurance, can apply for grants of up to $1,000 for children and $750 for adults, awarded on an annual or twice-lifetime basis. In urgent situations, we offer emergency grants that can be approved within 48 hours to swiftly assist patients in dire need.
