Community Food Assistance

Community Food Assistance is dedicated to alleviating hunger by offering emergency food relief to residents facing food insecurity in Ignacio, CO and the surrounding La Plata County. We prioritize support for our most vulnerable community members, including children, seniors, and families striving to make ends meet. Our services include convenient drive-up food distributions every Tuesday from 9 am to 1 pm, ensuring quick access to nutritious food without the need for client walk-ups. For those unable to travel, we provide home deliveries throughout the week to households at risk, emphasizing care and support for our neighbors in need. Additionally, we distribute essential items like diapers and wipes while supplies last, and formula can be requested. Our food assistance programs are open to all residents of La Plata County, including the towns of Silverton, Mancos, and Dolores, as we work together to build a hunger-free community.
