Lori Derr is a dedicated therapist whose passion lies in working with families and children to cultivate the best possible relationships. She understands that children often struggle to express their feelings verbally and may exhibit challenging behaviors instead. Lori finds joy in helping parents decode their children's behavior and equipping children with essential coping mechanisms during difficult times. Recognizing the challenges of parenting, she brings her own experiences as a parent along with her extensive background working with children in various settings, including daycare and schools. Lori specializes in facilitating communication and connection between parents and children. Her clinical practice emphasizes trauma, parent-child relationships, attachment, parenting, anxiety, and depression, with a focus on individuals aged 0-10. With a client-centered, non-judgmental, empathic, and holistic approach, she is honored to accompany her clients through life's ups and downs. Lori offers individual, family, and group counseling, and serves as a facilitator for Circle of Security Parenting. Her credentials include training in Child Parent Psychotherapy and Infant Mental Health, and she is currently pursuing certification as a Registered Play Therapist.
