The Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients, operated by the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation in Glenwood Springs, CO, is dedicated to supporting individuals facing financial hardship due to cancer treatment. We offer vital financial assistance to help patients cover their basic daily needs, alleviating some of the burdens caused by overwhelming medical costs. Each month, we welcome applications from both adult and pediatric patients currently undergoing cancer treatment or who have recently completed it. To qualify, all applicants must submit medical verification from their treatment facility. Our Grants Committee prioritizes applications based on urgency and financial need, with most recipients earning at or below the poverty level and often lacking adequate medical insurance. We provide grants of $750 for adults and $1,000 for children, available on a one-time annual or twice-lifetime basis. For urgent situations, we can also offer emergency grants, which can be approved within 48 hours upon a caseworker's recommendation, ensuring that those in critical need receive timely support.
