Feeding the Families in Fort Collins, CO, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to financially challenged families by connecting them with nourishing, locally-grown produce. Through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, families can access whole or half shares of fresh vegetables, supporting healthy eating while fostering community engagement. Our program runs for 16 to 22 weeks during the growing season, allowing families to pick up their harvest directly from local farms. Each family becomes a stakeholder, making a co-payment based on their income level, which enables us to offer reduced-cost fresh produce. Eligible families have incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level and participate in our application process, which includes a meeting with the Program Director and ongoing surveys that help secure funding for our initiatives. We invite families to engage in a Food School educational opportunity and commit to regular vegetable pickups, ensuring everyone can enjoy the benefits of healthy eating. Our CSA season operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and a waiting list is available for additional openings.
