Patches of Light is dedicated to uplifting families in Durango, Colorado, who are grappling with catastrophic health challenges and financial distress. Our mission is to provide critical financial assistance for essential needs, including utilities and housing costs, as well as gas and grocery cards to alleviate some of the burdens faced during difficult times. We work closely with medical staff to ensure that assistance is discreet and respectful, maintaining privacy and confidentiality for each family we serve. To access our support, applications must be submitted by hospital personnel, and we ask for patience during the 2-3 week review process. While we cannot engage in direct communication with families about their applications, we encourage hospital staff to confirm submission via email to help streamline processing, ensuring that help reaches those who need it most as quickly as possible.
