Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients

Based in Durango, Colorado, the Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients, a vital initiative of the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation, is dedicated to supporting individuals navigating the financial burdens associated with cancer treatment. Our mission is to provide financial assistance that addresses essential daily needs for both adult and pediatric cancer patients who are actively receiving treatment or are recently post-treatment. With a focus on those facing significant financial hardship, we prioritize applications from individuals with limited medical insurance and those living at or below the poverty level. Grants of $750 for adults and $1,000 for children are awarded on an annual or twice-lifetime basis, and in urgent situations, emergency grants can be approved within 48 hours upon recommendation from a caseworker.
