Sonia Rippe

LPC

Denver, CO US
Sonia Rippe, LPC, is dedicated to partnering with her clients to create a life worth living in the face of challenges and painful experiences. She provides a warm and nonjudgmental space for individuals to tap into their strengths, develop new insights and skills, understand and express their emotions, and cultivate self-love. Sonia believes that people are designed to experience a range of emotions, which convey important information about their needs and values. Often, individuals feel stuck when they attempt to avoid their emotional experiences, leading to feelings of depletion, hopelessness, invalidation, and confusion. She strives to meet her clients where they are as they heal and foster greater self-compassion. Sonia’s collaborative and integrative approach draws from various treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brainspotting, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through this process, clients learn to feel rather than avoid, enabling them to respond differently to their emotions, traumatic reminders, and other challenging life circumstances. Sonia believes that the therapeutic relationship is essential for a productive experience in therapy. From the very first session, she prioritizes building trust through an authentic, dependable, compassionate, warm, and accepting relationship, ensuring that clients feel validated, truly seen, and safe to be exactly who they are in the present moment.
