Kathy Shelburne is a dedicated Neuropsychologist with a keen specialization in neurodevelopmental conditions, including learning disorders, attention disorders, and autism spectrum disorders, as well as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, and brain injuries. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Houston, where she gained valuable experience within the Neurology and Neurosurgery departments at Baylor College of Medicine. Following a clinical internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on children with autism and other developmental disabilities, she took her expertise to Denver, where she pursued two postdoctoral fellowships dedicated to the study of neurodevelopmental disorders. Kathy has also made significant contributions to the field through her published works and lectures on childhood epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, autism, and early childhood assessment. From 2001 to 2010, she was part of the faculty at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. With many years of experience providing evaluation and consultation services, Kathy collaborates closely with families to develop educational and treatment plans designed to meet the unique academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of children and teenagers.
