The ultimate goal is to cultivate a more authentic and empowered sense of self. When something no longer serves a client, she collaborates to illuminate pathways for change. Her focus areas include sexuality, identity, anxiety, depression, relationships, and life transitions. As a queer cis woman, Gioia specializes in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and is passionately devoted to the queer community, honoring the inherent strengths and opportunities within diverse expressions of gender, sexuality, and relationships. Drawing primarily on mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, she believes that therapy can be a challenging yet enjoyable journey and enjoys infusing laughter and creativity into the process. Gioia meets her clients with compassion, curiosity, and an open mind, inspiring motivation and courage throughout their work together. She looks forward to connecting and helping clients embrace their path to healing.
