Colorado Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Colorado Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is committed to ensuring that all residents of Denver, CO, have access to the nutritious food they need. This vital program provides monthly food assistance to low-income households, helping families purchase essential groceries through an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, a convenient tool for managing food benefits. SNAP is available to individuals and families, including those who are employed, based on income qualifications. By utilizing our online pre-screening tool, potential applicants can easily determine their eligibility for food assistance. Applications for SNAP can be submitted online via the Colorado PEAK website, through the MyCOBenefits app, by mailing a paper application, or by reaching out to the Hunger Free Colorado Hotline. Once approved, beneficiaries will receive their EBT card, allowing them the freedom to select the food products they need, with the exception of non-food items.
