The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) serves the senior community in Colorado Springs, CO, by providing essential emergency food supplies that help seniors make their food budgets go further. Our program offers a variety of nutritious food items, including nonfat dry milk, rice, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, and canned meat, available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In collaboration with Care & Share, TEFAP not only meets immediate food assistance needs but also helps eligible seniors over the age of 60 apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits directly at our facility. Additionally, we offer support to navigate government benefits and resources, ensuring seniors can access the assistance they need. For more information or to schedule an appointment, seniors are encouraged to reach out to us directly.
