The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) operates in Colorado Springs, CO, providing essential emergency food supplies to seniors, helping them make their food budgets stretch further. We offer a diverse selection of nutritious foods, including nonfat dry milk, rice, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, and more. Our services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that our community's older adults receive the nutrition they need. In collaboration with Care & Share, eligible seniors over the age of 60 can also apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits directly through us, simplifying access to vital resources. Beyond food assistance, we offer guidance on understanding government benefits and navigating the support system to help our clients thrive in the community.
