Susan Guthrie is a seasoned therapist with twenty-seven years of experience in the field. She understands that individuals are shaped by their relationships and experiences. The beliefs people hold about their limitations, potential, and life's possibilities stem from their interpretations of life events and the people surrounding these events. Susan provides invaluable support to clients as they unpack their past and present experiences, fostering an understanding of how these elements weave together. Her goal is to heal self-judgments and negative beliefs rooted in the past while guiding individuals towards a compassionate, loving, and empowered relationship with themselves and others. In the face of challenges such as divorce, death, or living with addiction—whether personally or among loved ones—clients often need to adapt to circumstances beyond their control. Susan helps clients navigate these storms and find their way back to themselves. With three graduate degrees in Transpersonal Psychology, a PhD in Health and Human Services, and an MA in Marriage & Family, Susan has also served as adjunct faculty at Naropa University and the University of Santa Monica. As a trained grief therapist and certified EMDR trauma treatment psychotherapist, she believes profoundly in the transformative power of good psychotherapy.
