In Person
Michael Gay is a compassionate therapist dedicated to supporting clients through experiential and somatic approaches that effectively mobilize deep emotional content often inaccessible through traditional talk therapy. With substantial experience in trauma, grief, and depression, he is particularly skilled in addressing men's issues and facilitating transformative workshops and retreats. Since beginning his journey in therapy in 2006 as a Wilderness Therapy guide for teens and young adults, Michael has engaged in intensive healing work within group settings. His experiential and somatic strategies are designed to foster healing and transformation by helping clients experience and articulate their deeply held emotions. Recognizing that awareness alone may not suffice for profound change, he leverages these innovative methodologies to encourage deep transformation. In addition to individual sessions, Michael offers family therapy intensives and wilderness-based work tailored to his clients' interests and needs. His practice is rooted in sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds, aiming to provide a holistic and inclusive therapeutic experience.
