Gene Katz

Gene Katz is a Board Certified Sex Therapist and an esteemed university professor at Colorado Tech, with a specialization in couples and family relations encompassing LGBTQ and heterosexual adults and teens. He provides support to individuals facing challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and a broad spectrum of emotional, mental, sexual, or spiritual issues, including treatment for sex offenders. Believing in the individual's capacity for healing, Gene guides clients on their inner journeys toward achieving peace of mind. His therapeutic approach integrates techniques from Jung, Rogers, Satir, and other humanistic, existential, and transpersonal modalities. Gene welcomes clients from all orientations, including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer individuals, as well as heterosexuals, the polyamorous, asexuals, pansexuals, and those who have experienced past sexual abuse or obsessions. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge in Clinical Sexology, Sex Therapy, Marriage and Family Counseling, Trauma Healing, and Self-Help techniques, enhanced by his experience as an Associate Professor teaching courses in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, and Criminal Justice. Over the years, Gene has worked in various clinical settings and has received notable recognition, including a Congressional citation for his contributions to mental health.
