Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

At San Juan Basin Public Health, we are dedicated to supporting the health and nutrition of women, infants, and children in Bayfield, CO through our comprehensive WIC program. We provide essential food assistance to pregnant women, new moms, and young children, ensuring they receive the vital nutritional support they need. Our services include eWIC debit cards for convenient access to healthy food, personalized nutrition assessments, education, and breastfeeding support. We welcome walk-in appointments at our Durango office every Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for follow-ups or re-certifications, while new clients can schedule appointments for their initial visit. If you are a recipient of Health First Colorado (Medicaid), you are automatically eligible for WIC benefits, and our program accommodates those who also qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), empowering families to achieve better health outcomes together.
