The Essential Needs Grant Program for Cancer Patients, part of the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation in Avon, CO, is dedicated to providing crucial financial support to individuals battling cancer who are facing challenges in meeting their basic daily needs due to the high costs of treatment. This program is designed for both adult and pediatric patients currently undergoing treatment or recently completed it, ensuring they have access to the essential resources they require. Each month, our Grants Committee carefully reviews applications, prioritizing those based on financial hardship and personal circumstances, particularly for individuals with limited medical insurance and incomes at or below the poverty level. Grants of $750 for adults and $1,000 for children are awarded on a one-time annual or twice-lifetime basis, with the option for emergency grants available within 48 hours for patients in dire need, following a caseworker's assessment.
