Thery Jenkins

Thery Jenkins is a dedicated Marriage & Family Therapist, MA, LMFT, with a passion for helping others achieve happiness and freedom from suffering through effective therapy. She believes that the experience of being witnessed and deeply understood can transform the challenges of being human into something magical. Utilizing a blend of multiple clinical orientations, Thery approaches therapy by engaging the whole being—mind, body, and spirit—allowing clients to discover their unique truths and capacities. With a strong focus on relationships, she gravitates towards working with couples, families, and groups, teaching the value of honest and authentic connections. Thery specializes in supporting couples, families, women in mid-life, and children aged 12 and older. With over seven years of experience leading therapy groups, she currently facilitates two weekly groups at the Family Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara: one for women in mid-life and a mixed-gender group. Her additional expertise includes career and work satisfaction, family caregiving, chronic pain, mid-life themes, and providing support for survivors of childhood abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and partner betrayal. Thery is proud to collaborate with a skilled team of clinicians at the Family Therapy Institute of Santa Barbara, where they bring cost-effective treatment to the community.
