Wise and Well Heart Smart Program

The Emanuel Friedman Wise and Well Heart Smart Program in San Mateo, CA, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of older adults, particularly low-income and minority elders aged 60 and above. We provide essential health services, including free screenings and health education, focusing on prevalent concerns such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Our offerings include monthly drop-in health screenings, one-on-one consultations with experienced nurses, and educational classes aimed at managing risk factors related to these health issues and improving nutrition. Each year, we also conduct our comprehensive Annual Wellness Advantage health screening, which evaluates cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index (BMI), and waist measurements.
